The Air Jordans 15 was released in late 1999, and early 2000. It was the first Air Jordans model released after MJ's 2nd retirement. It shared a similarity to the Air Jordans 9 in that Jordan never played professionally in the shoe. There was also concern about the Air Jordans 15's comfort. The tongue of the Air Jordans 15 stuck out to MJ's well known habit of sticking his tongue out while playing. This was to be the last Air Jordans model designed by Mr. Tinker Hatfield but would later came back to design the Air Jordans 20 model. This Air Jordans model however is recognized as being a failure in terms of performance and style.
